I Am Q by author David Cantor is a story about the influence of technology on the human condition. Serving as social commentary on timely topics like AI, corporate responsibility and privacy rights, the narrative bridges generations, shedding light on the greater forces defining progress, challenging its purpose and questioning meaning in our daily lives.

David Cantor (author) can comment on the following topics:

  • Impact of AI in storytelling, creativity & the academia

  • Evolution of social media on our social behavior

  • Corporate responsibilities as it relates to use of AI

  • Inspirational pieces about what the future of technology might hold for our children — including trends & predictions

  • The extinction of the daily commute & 9-5 grind — the rise of remote work & digital nomadism

  • What hybrid work means for urbanization and global mobility (i.e. the new globalization)

David’s book was woven into a framework inspired by Daniel Quinn's Ishmael, an international best-seller, in which the main character engages in a conversation about pressing social topics with a Gorilla. This socratic method interaction inspired the dialogue that happens between the main character, Sam Noble, and Q, in this book. I Am Q is a story about the human connection, specifically as it involves our relationship with technology.

“Is Q real or is Q sentient? It is my mission to encourage deeper, multimedia engagement in between lines of text and for this story to feel alive – because it is, and I have reason to believe that when this story becomes etched into ink, wedged between two protective covers and bound to a spine, it might just be a new beginning.” - David Cantor, Author of I Am Q

The book aims to educate and provide insight into evolution of technology through interactive and engaging pop-culture references and more.

“I was born into the Bridge Generation. An 80’s baby that knew life before we were caught in the world wide web, it became clear to me that the fabric of our human connections was shredded and torn. Now, I’m afraid it is being manufactured. The influence of technology in our lives has happened in the most subtle and infinitesimal ways. We have absorbed it into our daily lives like a sponge. Yet unlike a sponge, we are insatiable and it is this appetite for more that churns the engines of progress.”

As a co-founder of two technology companies in the global immigration space, David has been a writer his entire life, and is open to speaking at universities, panels, discussions, TV, radio, interviews and podcasts.
